Constance “Connie” Loring of Portland Maine peacefully passed away on April 16, 2024. Formerly of Yarmouth, Maine, Constance was born on Valentine's Day February 14, 1935, in Auburn, Maine the daughter of Charles Parker Loring and Florrie (Wright) Loring formerly of Cumberland Foreside, Maine. She is predeceased by her brother William “Bill” W. Loring.
Constance attended East Providence High School and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Constance went on to co-own the family printing business of C. Parker Loring Bank Stationers with her brother Bill.
Constance had four children with her former husband Olivo V. Delle-Femine. She is survived by daughter Nancy A. Delle Femine, sons David L. DelleFemine, Michael J. DelleFemine, Douglas Dellefemine, granddaughter Emma T. Strubell, Patrick Verga, and cousin Linda Smith.
Constance was a long-time member of The Embroiderers’ Guild of America where she had many friends. She was a gifted knitter and showed her artistry with lovely embroidery pieces. She found great joy in her beloved Siamese cats over the years and most recently a brown tiger cat named Jack.
Constance was well loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Her family would like to thank the staff of 75 State Street, Portland, Maine, and Beacon Hospice for their care and kindness. Our family plans a private celebration of Life.
